My Client is looking for a skilled and motivated Commercial Broker / Underwriter to deliver high-quality service to their brokers. This role is essential to supporting the broking and wholesale team, aligned with their ambitious growth plans across the Mid-Market sectors. The successful candidate will manage a book of Irish business and will be responsible for underwriting  a number od schemes within the Irish Market

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite and process schemes and policys, in accordance with underwriting guidelines, authority limits, and the business plan.
• Manage new and existing business referrals through direct and broker channels
• Engage in meetings with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders, both in-person and virtually.
• Ensure compliance with company standards for policy documentation, quotation timeframes for new and renewal business, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Operate within the framework of the company’s Code of Conduct, compliance policies, peer review processes, and established protocols.

Qualifications:

• Experience in the insurance market, with a strong interest in developing commercial lines products in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to apply a practical and common-sense approach to varied situations and effectively solve problems under tight deadlines.
• Interest in working with Multinational programs.
• Minimum education requirement: Leaving Cert standard.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• “On-the-job” training will be provided, which may include working in other offices.
• Min APA qualified or continue progress towards CIP qualifications.
